no movment in gif files

this is Arihant

i m usin Mozilla firefox for quite some time but i dont see any .gif images moving

for eg the smileys ans some signatures and avatars also

can anybody help ???

I had this problem after installing acdsee, couldn’t sort it out so reinstalled windows. Actually you can get this issue with zonealarm too, u got zonalarm ?? … try disabling/reintalling it

Hmm r u sure those .gif files arn’t actually animated in the first place??Because ppl who are conjoos reagarding there database space consumption tend to save there pic in .gif to save space.

Okay..The same thing was happening to me for quite some time..Fooled around with certain settings & this is how I was able to sort it out..

  1. Open ZoneAlarm (assuming that is the firewall you are using…If not, then open whichever firewall u r using..)

  2. Go to “Privacy” & “ADD” techenclave.com

  3. Click on the newly added “techenclave.com” & hit “options”

  4. Go to “Ad Blocking” & uncheck everything, and hit OK..

  5. Thats it..Just refresh this page & see my Avatar..If its animated for you, then its working now..If not, we’ll see what else can/should be done..

Just try this too:

  1. Also add “www.techenclave.com” & repeat the other steps..

  2. Allow (from X to Tick-Mark) everything for both, except for “Private Header”..

Check & Update..

actually at first i added “www.techenclave.com” — no result

now i added “techenclave.com” with evrything allowed

but the result is the same wid both

Have you tried shutting down ZA & restarting your browser..?

If this works, then surely its a setting issue with ZA..otherwise we might be looking in the wrong direction all together..

My avatar doesn’t move per se..The eyes switch from red to yellow alternatively..

Check others’ avatars..for instance Josh & Zhops to be truly sure..

Just cleared everything in my mozilla firefox browser cache :unamused_face: :unamused_face:
