thats 1940MhZ on the memory…typo on nVidias site, coz all reviews and even official nVidia comments state 1940MhZ…
And this should give you fair idea about performance gains : AnandTech: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512 & GeForce 8800 GT 256MB: Playing with Memory and G92
not bad…the OC editions wud perform better even…a good buy i must say, as was the 8800GT
Read the conclusion in that review, man it sounds so sweet to me,
ya…8800GT is still the king , Price to performane is unbelievable, 8800GTS is only for those who want the extar performance and are ready to pay the premium, like the 8600GT and the GTS…byt here , the 8800GTS has a few added advantages apart from the perf , like better cooling and stuff…
so coming back to current situation at indian price aspect 33% expensive for just 10-16% extra performance… do u think its really worthy just for d sake of better cooling, better overclocking less noise etc. etc… even anadtech clearly said that at higher resolution with max settings its nothing too much impressive than GT… also in low resolution its almost like a slightly oced GT… no extra benifit at stock for such a high premium…
in one site i found dis card may be gone upto @ 830/2235 (or may be even more with better driver support for rivatuner) but runs very much stable and rather cool on load testing than any other high-end series.
Useless when its costing arnd 7k more than 8800GT in India :P…arnd 60-70$ diff in US in pricing of 8800GT & 8800GTS…so a price of 18k is what will make it sell here in volumes
