Every key of this new design Optimus keyboard is a little stand-alone display based on OLED technology and it is showing exactly what it is controlling at that very moment. Yes you can control the way your keys look
To this date is not clear who is going to take this keyboard into production, but the Russian designers .. well they quickly patented this keyboard and it’s technology. Better find a manufacturer soon, I guess all want one !
Sorry guys… My friggin net was down yesterday night… Right now i am in office so posting the source directly to you guys… I have done the same thing on my keyboard and yes this is not mine… But how is the Idea ;)…
But the OLED takes what you’ve done one step further in making each and every key configurable for a variety of situations. Like the screenie showing the keys for Quake, those could be reconfigured for another situation like Adobe Photoshop shortcut keys.
You could say that their concept is a virtual/dynamic implementation, while yours is a physical/permanent one
Whats there to explain… I just swapped the damm keys… Actually when my friends come over they always bug me abt the keys(Which is for what)… Then i saw this at [H] and implemented it… Now i just tell them white is for movement… Simple isnt it… Also pretty good if you play in dark… Easy to spot…
