My windows drive has less the 60 mb left its becomining very unstabble it shows 60 mb and some times 120 mb…i came to know that by using partition magic we can fix this i downloades partition magic from download.com its paragon partition manager 8.0 but i dont know how to use it can somebody teach me how to use it…help
partition magic cannot do anything about you having low space on c:
even if you want to merge drives, all data will be gone on both the partitions
better have atleast 200mb free on c: by uninstalling some apps from program files and emptying the temp folders instead
Please dont use partition magic to resize drievs, because all data will be lost . Had a horrible experience with it buddy.
U can clear cookies, temp internet files, and all. U shld always keep some space(2 Gb ) free on C drive.
you can use partition magic to resize the partitions…
there should be no problem…
i`ve personally had no problems…
but it is generally advisable not to resize the os partition… thats y everyone is saying so..
i`d say go ahead… just open partition magic… and if u have a d drive or so whic has some 2 gb free space and is on the same physical disk.. then resize it and add the space to c drive..
just select d drive and select resize.. then resize the extended partition whic d drive is part of…
then u`ll have free space…
now just add that space to ur c drive by resizing it..
thats it…
just apply the changes…
i cannot assure u that things will work out… but just be prepared to reinstall the os..incase anything goes wrong.
If u r using winXP try disabling system restore on all drive, it just free u up some 400-500 mb
The free disk space can keep varying due to various factors like page file size, temp folder etc … Partition Magic cannot help in this case try freeing up some space.
BTW Partition Magic works great if you use it correctly, I’ve been using it for almost 6yrs without a prob
