Most of you must have tried this before and some of you may be even playing with now, as of me i tried it again after few months and this time around was able to play smackdown vs raw 2008 and dbz tenkaichi 3.

Talking about emulators, I was wondering how long would it take before an emulator for the PS3 could come up…I know it’s too early now, but I was curious about what the major problems towards development of such an emulator would be. Would they be :
a) The hardware limitations of the current gen PC’s , OR
b) The software limitations ?
any ideas , anyone ?
as per the official guide, these are the requirements :-
Recommended System: (Will run optimized games at full speed or close to full speed; ie. games like FFX, FFXII, Disgaea 2)
3.0 Ghz or higher Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad-Core
8600 GT or higher
1GB Ram (2GB if using Vista)
Optimum System:
4.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo or Quad-Core
8800 GT or higher
2GB Ram
So don’t expect 30 FPS.
to run the console games on pc, first they have to be converted to a different format and compiled on the pc by the emulator and efficiency of compilation depends on the hardware power, so both hardware and software are equally responsible.
well i have e6600 running at stock i.e 2.4ghz and 7900gt and 1gb of ram also running at stock and presently i am able to play smackdown vs raw 2008 and dbz tenkaichi 3 comfartably without any issues.
Can you post some screenshot & the list of Plug-in used for it? The last I tried was Bully but sadly the frame rates were pathetic.I personally own a PS2 but would like to see some eye candy being added to it’s games on the PC too.

the plugins i use are as follows
graphics-Gsdx(MSVC 15.00, SSE3)0.1.7
sound - ZeroSPU2 0.4.4
controller- ssspx pad
for dbz tenkaichi the screen flickers when the fight starts but that issue is resolved using old plugins of gsdx for which i use GSdx9(MSVC 15.00,SSE2)0.11.4 but surprisingly with this plugin i am not able to take any screenshots, will try with other older plugins and post them but the game works flawless with this plugin and GSDX9 plugin allows you to check the frame rate using f7 and the frame rate in dbz never went below 30 and would reach as high as 50 in gameplay and about 100 in the menus
Also i am using the pcsx2 0.9.5 beta version.
What about load times etc are they much improved over the PS2 versions?

Just out of curiosity I gave it another shot & all the games are stuttering very badly.I tried both Gdsx & the ZeroGS plugin but didn’t have much difference.Tried WWE Raw V/S Smackdown 2007.I am almost about to give up on it.
i didnt noticed any load times they are prety quick actually and i am using xbox 360 controller for windows.
God of war is not listed in the compatibility list so didnt tried it out.
Are you using pcsx2 0.9.5 or any other versions and did you coonfigured the graphics pulgin according to the guide which i posted.
and also go to config menu than speed hacks and check the box which says EE\IOP sync hack- general speed up and also go to config menu than cpu and click the Limit Frame radio button and in the custom fps text box, set it to 75, and if the game still stutters than press f5 during the gameplay to change the interlacing mode to see if it helps.
PCSX2 has improved a lot in the last few months. Almost all of my favorite games run better than full speed using my E6750 & 8600GT. We are working on some new things and hopefully you may find an improved version very very soon.
I did full installation of pcsx2 from the guide but no PS2 game to try
can any one suggest me good ps2 game? which is less then 1 gb size so that i can download it on my 256 kpbs connection

, i thought PCSX2 is made for playing ahem version of PS2 games on PC 
Of the games that I still have for the PS2. I gave Klonoa 2, Viewtifull joe, Disgaea 2 a try and all of them either look awfull with one plug in or if they look good with another plugin they are unplayable with the frame rates.
