Have been observing that ‘some’ members have been posting in FS market threads Mentioning that pics are now compulsory and "telling’ members that trades wout pics are not allowed.
They also helpfully provide links to the sticky in the market section. What they seem to have missed is that its optional till 23rd may AFTER which it becomes compulsary. Can members plz be requested not to do so till 23may? After which I believe threads will automatically be closed/warned by MODS.
Else if you need to mention it, PM or comment clearly mentioning that its compulsory from 23rd May, n NOT now.
Only reason i did this, the unnecessary bumping of threads is putting legitimate threads lower in the listings. Not fair
Then you can just PM the member concerned. And also helpfully mention that it comes into force from 23rd May
No offense meant, just that recently almost every market post i check out has ppl screamin themselves hoarse warning the thread starter if he doesnt post pics, wen clearly thats not true
it just bumps inactive trades pusing valid ones down
but i guess biggest culprit is our very own self proclaimed mod bikenstein, i seriously hope he being given the post officially, otherwise he wud keep on spamming market section for thread pics and closure of threads.
P.S : Somebody please ask him to stop and show him this thread.
I am sorry if i hurt any sentiments- but since i see a thread here, i hope all who come to TE (and surely browse Market if nothing else) have taken note of the changes.
I don’t think i need to be posting anymore of these messages and hope other responsible members point out any discrepancies to any ignorant member.
Now where is my self-ban button; bad member Bikey. :banned:
I have never proclaimed so and have no intentions of the same. :cool2:
Mods on TE are extremely wise to make me a mod and shoot themselves in the foot.
Notice i didn’t post in your thread- that would have been shooting myself in the foot.
Nowhere have i said it’s a must nor have i asked for any closure of threads.
It is a friendly suggestion/reminder and also helps in creating awareness amongst people who browse/post/bump/sell/buy but don’t read the rules, maybe due to ignorance.
And the rules have been announced quite a few days back (from the 23rd it’s a must)- but mods have allowed a buffer period and requested to do so asap.
so what’s the harm in doing it “as soon as possible”.
eg.
If you know that a certain professor is not gonna accept submissions beyond a certain date, won’t you atleast tell some friends if not the whole class??
Ego makes simple statements/suggestions seem otherwise.
And since you are posting in this thread- you are aware of the changes.
still, here goes.
You must have the product you are selling in possession at the time of sale.
You must provide 2 clearly visible pictures of the product along with your TE username and date written by hand on a piece of paper next to the product.

Sidhu yaar, i didnt point out to him only. there are a number of ppl who were doin it, my point was on all of them, I am not singling out any 1 person. And the title is justified here IMO.
OT: Foolio the spammer would disagree with you there. Search for who he is no offense bikey, i like foolio, just not in the market.
Nope- i have never denied i don’t spam.
2500 spams and 2.5yrs of spamming doesnt a senior make. :cool2:
One’s dedication/loyalty to a community (helping others by sharing knowledge/experience/…) makes one a senior- and there are many here like that which makes TE a special place.
There is nothing wrong with this thread imho- just shows that TE is truly a democratic forum where everyone can interact without any bias/hesitation. :thumb:
And it’s f00lio- mind it.
Even he don’t like to spam in market- but some just take things for granted and try to exploit every loophole possible till they are at the receiving end.
so though mentioned in a few places, the posts are there for all to notice and not a vendetta against any particular person.
I hope more people understand the proper meaning of the words duty, priviledge and right.
^ Nothing yaar, its not targetted @ U, its for every1 (inc me), same kinda threads every 2-3 days, now no1 like free suggestions and advices. and it will only increase coz TE is growing.
Its good that you people are sorting it out among yourselves by providing each other constructive feedback.
However as a mod I must point out what we expect from members regarding the rules. I agree to this one point by bikey. We gave the buffer date keeping in mind that people will gradually shift to the new rule. Not suddenly at 00:00 Hrs 23rd May. Failing to meet the deadline would just lead to suspension of thread. I am sure its going to be quite a headache to enforce this rule.
And the rules have been announced quite a few days back (from the 23rd it’s a must)- but mods have allowed a buffer period and requested to do so asap.
so what’s the harm in doing it “as soon as possible”.
Now as a member I think more people will read what has been posted in the thread. So PM may not be the most effective means since it addresses only one member. Reminding a member once in every thread isnt too big of a deal. Its not thread crapping or ruining the sale. Besides its already 16th today.
I can however ask the admins to mass PM everyone on TE about the rule change and the deadline. I guess that would make everyone happy.
I have to wait a minimum of 30 seconds between sending PMs, while i can post in a thread every 15 seconds- i may have thetime now but then the soner i get it done, iam free to spam in more relevant technical sections.
I am sorry to say this but many a times, PMs not in one’s interests (at times vested interests) are conveniently ignored- i guess that’s where the “integrity” of a person matters.
Plus if one reports my post- no hard feelings at all - one can’t even deny having seen the message. :devil2:
Also gets noticed by many others, especially those who browse market and will keep it in mind when they buy/sell something.
One arrow (with a friendly suggestion) , several targets. :bowarrow:
But like i said- it’s been noticed and i can finally let my fingers rest a bit. :Comp2:
All here are wise enough and hopefully have taken note of the change.
