Pls Suggest- Point and Shoot Camera for 8k

Hey guys, one of my friends wants to buy a digital camera, and her budget it 8k, I can convince her to probably to extend it by 1k maybe even 2, but pls try and stick as close to the budget.

Considerations:

  1. Being a girl, she wants the camera to be sleek!
  2. She doesnt mind buying from the grey market, because I told her at this budget a sleek camera would be difficult! So is this option worth it?

well, i would suggest you get SD1100 IS from the States if that is possible.

else if you want to buy locally then, well the best bet would be sony w35. there will be quite a few sleek kodaks so you can check that out

I dont know how much mine costs.but I got canon powershot A590 IS as a gift from USA. I must say ,a very good phone satisfying what all you asked.yes 8MP camera.

dude have you gone to fototrade on wallajah road near richie street?? You can ask for the cam without the bill nice collection of cannon,Olym and nikkon cams no sony :slight_smile:

Get a Sony. Their cameras are the best lookwise (on a budget). Their photo quality will be only a little bit worse than Canon and they would not have the advanced features like P,A,S,M modes. But I doubt a girl would use anything besides Auto mode.
