port forwarding on with buffalo router

Have a strange problem with buffalo WHR-G125.

this is specific to utorrent, when i keep the router next to the pc, i can forward ports with no issues. however when i move the router to a different room, utorrent shows the no incoming icon, :S

is it due to range to something??

I could help you, but I never used the buffalo’s program, the first thing I did to my router was tomato, post then never come across any issues.

yea, but that spoils the warranty,

now my utorrent is completely blocked!!

dunno if its airtel or the router!

Are you using it over wireless or ethernet? If its the former, could be an issue with range. Check the signal strength on the pc

its not the range, its 100%

Yeah , most people seem to switch to tomato or dd-wrt. I have seen a copy of the original Buffalo firmware (I think somewhere on dd-wrt’s website) which you could restore if you needed to take it back.

Never had that prob with dd-wrt either :frowning: sorry, but you should try to make a switch to a different firmware, the buffalo firmware lacks the ability to take full advantage of the Broadcom chip.
