PSP 3000 wd indeed be the Series Name if Sony decides to redesign the psp.
1000 was the fat psp and slim’s series is 2000.
And quite frankly, if Sony really wants to overhaul the 50 million sales figure of Nintendo DS, it ll have to redesign the psp and introduce the touch screen.
A possibility cannot be denied but its too soon and wd be a bolt for the ppl who recently got their slim psp.
But having said that, the 3000 series wont come out anytime soon. So ppl neednt worry abt their slim psp.
Surely they mst be thinking of getting some way out of the pandora mess wenever they get the 3000 series psp out.
I hope they are going to enhance CPU core, increase inbuilt RAM so that heavier game can load faster and more save game space & not the least a more juicy Battery.
A significant update could be a CPU core running @700Mhz so that it can beat iphone in performance aspect.
Originally, it was believed that the battery life of the PSP 3000 would be worse than the original, but Gamespot has learned from Sony that it will actually be the same (about 4 to 6 hours for games and about 4 to 5 hours for UMD videos). While the new screen does require more power, Sony has compensated by reducing the power draw of other components. The weird thing here is that Sony originally suggested that re-releasing the discontinued PSP extended battery pack was the solution. Is there some confusion here or did they just reverse ground?
