i oced my q6600 (G0) to 3.0 but in World in conflict i get de same fps as i got when it was at stock. on maxed out settings i get 16 fps in the benchmark.
My rig:
ASUS P5N-E SLI
Q6600 at 3.0GHz
Point Of View 8600GT DDR2
Transcend 2GB DDR2 @ 800MHz
WD 320 GB SATA II
550 W PSU
Q6600’s max stable overclock is at 3.33ghz
so there is some chance or more overclock if u have some cooling stuff with you
what makes you say that..??? many of the peers are running it 3.6-3.7GHz 24/7 iirc…
or is it you meant on stock HSF..???
You are GPU limited with an 8600GT. The CPU clock speed will have little effect.
WIC cant run at high on a 8600gt
it requires more graphics muscle..
you will get a really good fps at medium though bcoz of that overclocked quad
the game responds well to overclocking CPU’s
even at de low, lowest and medium settings i get de same fps at cpu stock and cpu oc(3.0). but as i have seen on the net where sites hae reviewed de Q6600, the proccy oced gives out a little more fps say frm 30 to 34😄 but not in my case.:@
and yeah de game wrks at highest settings with 2AA and 4AF giving me around 25-30fps.(DX 9)
turn off AA…
ur bottlenecked by your gpu.
Balance UR rig man, Q6600 with 8600GT (11+5.5k) for gaming purpose is not good, HD 3850 with E8200 (9+8k) will beat UR rig by huge margin. Also UR 8600GT is DDR2 version, why U purchased it when DDR3 version r avl.
dude this card is a temporary one, after about 3-4 months i m going to get a new one, but till then i have 2 play wid this.i got quad cuz i got it for 9.5k’s😊
