Help! I was wondering if any of you have any experience with robotics. I plan to make one for a competition at college. Any help is welcome. I plan to make a remote controlled car for a race. Anything to get me started is welcome. I am making some efforts on my part but anything from you guys is welcome.
i am very fond with remote controlled RC cars.. i have 1:12 scalled ferrari F1 RC car 
if anyone want its up for sale used for 1 week only.. well.. dhruv. i recommend u to use fancy wheels and 4 way steering to wheels.. like u can steer all the 4 wheels.. make ur car like that.. just try to make a monster truck that design will attract judges as they rarely see such things and also maake sure the wheels u choose are fancy like transparent rubber tyres… and a fluorocent semi transparent body and should be big enough with 4WS.. and 4x4 also make a bouncing suspension which should be controllable from remote and if possible make a powerful headlight arrangements.. make it as realistic as possible.

my RC car has changaeble tyres, and it looks like a real ferrari, gives an ultra screech when accelerated at extreme speed. it has 2 speed thingy on remotte and yes its fully functional like a real ferrari.. with realistic big engine sound ofcourse mini sound though but big one.. and has 8 rechargable battery pack and an adapter.. all for grab for 1500 bux. mumbai buyers preferred…
plus i have 2 monster trucks!! Turbo Tec brand- 1 is Big foot and other is Hummer H1 or 2 i donno but they are pretty big!! they doesnt work i guess but can get to work as not used since 2-3 years and i also have a small 1/24 scale SUBARU Rally car…

ok,basically u ll need a L293D ic,two Dc motors, 4 wheels and a car body ,switch (lol) etc … i can give u the ckt if u want .. but its better u design it urself …
