Please do not start new threads on the same product.
Maybe you can edit the title to reflect the revised prices unless the Brand/Deal is totally different.
eg. “Corsair Voyager deals- prices revised/dropped (16-02-2008).”
OR
“Corsair Voyager deals- 8GB, 16GB added (16-02-2008).”

Well, i am not looking at this from your end and hence do not know of the issues you’ll maybe facing- so please pardon if it’s an undue request.
Mods- is there anything that can be done to help them reflect updates in titles (say more lines per title or something like that)? :cool2:
Well , the problem is we cannot change titles , as any changes made do not reflect in the thread page…also , i know this makes lots of threads by the same dealers for the same products , as i can see my own corsair deals in the dealers page…maybe if the closed deals are automatically sent to the closed deal section , as if we continue in the older thread, its a lot of confusion to us as well as the customer…
I totally agree with bikey…too many threads of the same products gets too confusing for the buyers.
Dealers do not have the right to edit the title of the thread → I find this a very helpful feature in other forums wherein I can always update the thread title with the price drop, a special deal, or even the stock status. I had requested the mods to grant this feature to dealers initially when I joined here as a dealer…but haven’t received any update on it. Mods, please look into granting this feature for us if possible
Nevertheless as the current situation lies…we still have the feature to edit the first post of a thread. So, there is no need for dealers to create a new thread for the same product. They can always edit the first post with the updated price and maybe bump the thread that the prices have been updated in the first post.
Closing the thread —> yes, we can close our own threads…but we don’t have the ability to move this thread to the Completed/Done deals sections. Would be nice if we are granted this feature as mods can be busy at times and we can do the needful instead of cramping up the Dealers paradise section with inactive GO threads.
I think if the first post and every subsequent post in ‘TE Market’ can be edited by the OP, i see no reason why the ‘Title Edit’ should be disallowed (unless i am missing something from the admin’s point of view). :S
I think it’s a bug most prolly.
I have made typos in the thread title and/or needed some changes in the FS/WTB threads in market.
A simple PM to the mods got it done but dunno why that was needed.
Plus i had a doubt that same is the case with the Dealer’s section.
Maybe i should have brought up the ‘Not able to Edit Title’ topic earlier.
