Restarting Windows Without Restarting Your PC | Tips
Basically, hold ‘shift’ while pressing the restart button. Applies to both Xp AND Vista.
This used to work with Win 95 too

Pressing Right Shift and Clicking on Restart. Machine reboots from the bios again.

No, It is completely like Restarting the computer. Only difference is,
Instead of
Shut down windows
Shut down BIOS
Start BIOS
Start Windows
It only Shuts down windows, and then starts windows.
PS - Does not work for me.
It does not work on Windows XP, last I knew it worked till Win ME and was a great feature, since it needed hell lot of restarts anyways…

Tried the same later. Doesnt seem to work on xp OR Vista. sorry guys THe site said it did, but I wasnt in the mood to try a restart
