Basically, hold ‘shift’ while pressing the restart button. Applies to both Xp AND Vista.

This used to work with Win 95 too

97 is Windows Hidden Edition :trade_mark:. It runs a 2.4 series NPTL kernel. Very few people own a copy.

Pressing Right Shift and Clicking on Restart. Machine reboots from the bios again.

No, It is completely like Restarting the computer. Only difference is,
Instead of

Shut down windows

Shut down BIOS

Start BIOS

Start Windows
It only Shuts down windows, and then starts windows.
PS - Does not work for me.

It does not work on Windows XP, last I knew it worked till Win ME and was a great feature, since it needed hell lot of restarts anyways…
