Rundll Error in Vista !!

Hey guys,

I am facing some problem with Vista. Recently dunno why there is frequent pop-up of some Rundll error (Screenshot Attached). This happens anytime without any pattern. Nothing i do triggers it.

Also there can be multiple instances of same. At one time there were 5 errors.

Here’s the screenshot

Any idea on how i can get rid of this

Thanx

If you have nero installed…then yeah…easy way…

go to D:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter

Find a file named nevideo.ax, rename/delete it. Fixed the problem for me :). It used to crash whenever was browsing my movies folder :@

Check if a file named NeVideo.ax is present on your computer. If it does, just rename the file to NeVideo.ax.bak. Your problem will be gone. If it does not exist, do this…

Go into Control Panel and then go into Problem Reports and Solutions. Click on View problem history in the left pane. Right click on the problem and select View Problem Details and use

the Copy to clipboard link in the lower left corner and paste it here.

I will see the details and will try to help.

Found 2 instances of that file…Renamed..

Also should i rename

“nevideoanalyser.ax” too ?

No. No need. But if you find NeVideoHD.ax, change it too.

Well the problem still persists.. But i feel its because i havent restarted yet..

Will let you know the final word after the restart..

Ok so even after renaming…and restarting..the problem is still there..

And as soon as i open any folder containing video files.. It pops up

Here’s Screenshot of error from Control Panel..

This fault is the one I told u a solution for.

Enable view hidden files and system files and again search for these files:

NeAudio.ax

NeVideo.ax

NeVideoHD.ax

Just add a .bak in the end of the names. Update Nero or better uninstall it. Disable dreamscene if you are using it when you do this. Restart. If the problem is still there, then I think the solution lies somewhere else.
