I tried scheduling tasks on my PC, but at the set time nothing happens.. Could ne1 please tell me how to schedule tasks, I think I am missing something here.
check if the task schedular service is running first. then, you can set add the tasks thru the control panel..
What av are you using? NOD 32 has a really good scheduler.
me thinks windows scheduler is good enough…

is yours’ legal version of windows…!!! some ‘others’ versions are known to have many bugs,

wrong username and password cause you have not specified a password in your user accounts … do that..
also if you wanna schedule something to run while your logged in.. then when you create a task .. in the advanced properties click on “run while logged in”.and your task would run :).. like i shedule to play winamp everymorning at 5:55 am .. cause i have to go to tuts .. hehe
ur sole aim is 2 shcedule tasks then is windows task schedueler is not working so
go for a third party schedueler.also provide some type of error details for futher analayis of ur problem
I needed a scheduler for night d/l on my MTNL connection… do u know ne good 3rd party software?
I dont have any user accounts on my PC.. does that mean I will have to start using user accounts with passwords for using scheduler? Isnt there any other way out?

Thanks.. Sorry for replying late.. had my exams going on. I checked the site.. I had to make a password to get the scheduler working. So, is it impossible to make the scheduler work without having an account WITH a password?
One last question.. how to schedule a shutdown?

nah you can still schedule without a password.. just click on “run when logged in/on” (something like this) in the advanced properties of the scheduled task you just created… :)..
and i guess you wanna do what i did.. scheduled my comp to start after 12am and also downloads to start after that time. and finally a shut down at 7:55 am :)..tried once and it worked
