Hi guys, my friend has taken bsnl’s NIC connection and he is using in his laptop, is there anyway to make the laptop as wifi router so that i can access internet in my iphone ? Pls guide me..
You can but you have to use your PC as a Proxy and for that your PC has to up whenever the network is required by any of the home computer in your network.
basically you need to Implement ICS. Google for “Internet Connection Sharing” you will get your answers.

you need to setup an ad-hoc wireless netwk on your pc and enable ICS through it…
yup. enable internet sharing on your BSNL. and make ad-hoc connection from your wireless network properties. Your wirleess adapter will assign the ip to iphone and everything.
If u hav vista us go to create new connection, adhoc connection..select yes for internet sharing..

But what if Internet is not shared… I mean just for wireless connectivity b/w computers with Wi-Fi to share & transfer files…
Dont select Internet connection sharing..
