Mattan Gillon succeeded in porting the open source x86 emulator Bochs to the Sony PSP, enabling to run Windows 95 and Linux.

It is amazing how much time people spend with the Sony PSP and not actually playing games on it.
This PSP hack is exciting, but of course there are limitations running Windows 95 on the Sony portable.
Mattan writes on his site:
" Windows 95 actually runs quite well but don’t expect it to be a speed demon. It takes about 10 minutes to boot but afterwards it’s pretty usable. I was able to do things like: open “My computer” and browse the virtual hard drive, complete a whole game of Minesweeper and run various other applications. "

Apparently the port is well enough to play Windows Mindsweeper on the Sony PSP.
Mattan has the instructions and the download for his Sony PSP Bochs port available here. First seen on Engadget.

Thanks for sharing this fantastic info , jags.

Looks like a PSP is a gr8 gaming console.
