Speeding Up ur FireFox ..

If your a firefox fan like me …try this out…

  1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll

down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining

network.http.proxy.pipelining

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.

When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really

speeds up page loading.

  1. Alter the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

(Use Toggle Option)

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This

means it will make 30 requests wd be sent at once.

  1. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.

Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”.

This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you’re on a broadband connection you’ll load pages 2-30 times faster now

Try This Out and Tel me if this works ..

How about something that speeds up loading and general tasks in Firefox

nothing better than adblock plus and flashblock for speeding up general usage

arre na, thats not what I meant, something that would speed up loading of Firefox, reduce loads on heavily scripted pages etc

On my current excuse for a rig my Firefox usage jumps to 40% or so sometimes, really a problem if watching something in Media Player Classic along with it, the frames get lost sometimes

and its a decent rig AXP 2500+ and 768MB RAM

wrks for mee

tx buddy

ive blocked *.js on my adblock
