PLz suggest a computer comfig. for my uncle for 20k.
He will be using it mostly to watch movies,listen to songs,do some office works and occasional light gaming.Well, i believe he could do well with onboard graphics. He needs all the computer parts and accessories for that amount i mentioned.I mean the cpu,hard drive,monitor,speakers,PSU,etc,etc.
Also he lives in trivandrum,so if anybody knows plz suggest any good shops around here.
AMD 3000+ = 3.4K
Asus A8N VM = 3.8K
512MB RAM = 2.2K
80GB SATA Seagate = 2.6K
Moniter 17incer = 4.8K or second hand 17incher
PSU + Cabbie = 1.5K
DVD Rom = 1K approx
Keyboard + mouse = 500 bucks
Total 19.8K
Speakers = 200 bucks.
Or you can go for 15in monitor and save 1K. Get a ups with that or a pair of decent speakers.
Or you may as well go for semphron combo.
No point in going for a 15" Monitor. instead, go for 17" and ask him spend 1k more o get some decent speakers. total should come to 21k
yea extending the budget by 1k makes sense..17" for office work and movies makes even more sense…

Also it’s possible that he may go in for an internal tv tuner card for an additional amount of Rs.2 k. So plz suggest a decent tuner card for that amount or less.
Also i have read somewhere that Asus A8N VM mobo gives troubles. Is it true??If so suggest any alternative mobo. He doesn't know anything about computers and the last thing he wants is to deal with mobo problems!! Aslo which cabby+ PSU would you suggest for 1.5 k???
Also in future (when he gets enough money) he may wanna use his pc as a dvd player. So which graphics card would you suggest to go along with this setup??? leadtek 7300GS ???
You can get an internal tv tuner card for even less than 1k
^^ Which one and will it be any good?? I mean will the picture quality becomparable to that of a normal ( non-flat) tv???
I dont think 1K tv tuners can record 
. if you dont want that , Compro is fine I guess
