My friend has just started learning to play an Acoustic guitar. He wants to use Guitar Pro to tune it and therefore needs a Microphone to connect to the computer. Does anyone know of a decent microphone within 1000Rs that would do the job? And any idea where I can find one?

Umm, yeah. He needs the microphone to hook up to the PC, like I mentioned in my first post. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
I use a Rs. 75 one and it works perfectly fine with my acoustic and electric 
Ask him to try AP Tuner.

We kind of assumed it would have to be a good one to help in tuning. As both of you suggested that any mike should do, I’ll ask him to pick up any cheapo one.:cool2:
Ask your buddy to spend that 1000 bucks on a chromatic tuner from Korg or Boss, which will be way more accurate

If u dont know, he did edit the post to make it ‘connect to the computer’ which wasn ther before; so obviuosly twas not meant to be posted in this section if the mic was meant fer a guitar.

I passed it on that he didn’t need an expensive microphone. He used the one with a headset and it seemed to work decently for him. Thanks for you help.
@Rio: I told him about the chromatic tunres. He’s just starting to learn playing the guitar. So at present 75Rs solution is more than sufficient is what he said. Thanks for the info though. Filed for future use.
@whatsinaname, position the mic close to the sound hole of the acoustic guitar for tuning.
