2 X Gainward 6800 Ultra SLI Watercooled - N/A
Why?
Nothing to say about it, already discussed before.
The most ruthlessly powerful cards available now. Price not to be considered.
Alternatives :
2 X MSI 6800 Ultra SLI - N/A
Powercolor X850XT PE - Rs.38,500
I have tried my best to include cards sold in India but people who can afford high-end cards usually get it from abroad. Prices are indicative and taken from dealers excluding taxes and may vary depending on location.
hmm i would rate the 6600 gt higher than the 6800.. simple because the 6600 gt is availabe in both pci-e and agp in india.. while the pci-e version of 6800 in not yet arrived in india.. correct me if i`m wrong..
and i think from entry level to mid-range is a big jump.
you should include
high entry - low range cards
6600 128 mb pci-e/agp - 6.5k
6600 256 mb pci-e/agp - 7.5k
Are u sure about the 6200 AGP?Its 64-bit and is closer to 6k here. The Gigabyte 9600XT is good though provided its available at the price you say it is.
Well its not like mid-range shud include this nd not tht
Pricing is taken into considerationā¦
For Eg: the low mid-range the Leadtek at 10.2k sounds goodā¦
whr as Smewht higher the Xl will kick-assā¦
After all its how much money u got to spend
Nope, thats only on stock speeds. The 6800 will perform better with its 16 pipes unlocked and 256-bit memory interface. Also very overclockable, I OCāed from 325/350 to 375/400 easily and I read somewhere that it can be OCāed to 400/450 on stock cooling.
And yes Crazy_Eddy, I have unlocked the pipes. Will post some scores soonā¦
Lets get the facts staright:
The clocks for the 6600gt are :500/1000 for pci-e and 500/900 for agp.Ram type is GDDR3.
For the 6600 vanilla its 300/550 or 300/500 for both 128mb and 256mb versions.Ram type is ddr1.(basically nvidia leaves it to the mfg. to decide whether to use 500 or 550 mhz rams)
In addition there are various mfg. āspecialityā models like the MSI 6600 Diamond that use 400/800 clock as the base speeds.
The X800 is a fabulous deal in the states right now,no doubt about that though. But hereā¦I think I have harped on enough about how India sucks when it comes to video cards.
Also the 6600Gt is closing in on the $150 mark esp. for the pci-e version and so its as good a deal as the x800 vfm wise.
definitely.. if u had $200, then X800 is the card to get..
