Unable to access Techenclave

I an having a lot of problem accessing techenclave as of late, from about 4-5 days, it never works, or works rarely only, for a min or two… My internet connection is just fine, everything else is working fine, furthermore, I’m having no issues connecting to Techenclave via proxy server, that’s how I’m posting this…

Isp ?..

Vsnl…

Working absolutely fine for me! :expressionless:

DNS issue. Why dont you use open DNS?

VSNL was suffering from DNS issues on new year’s eve and day after. Techenclave did not display properly.

Try pinging BSNL & OpenDNS servers

bsnl dns server = 61.1.96.69 61.1.96.71

use open dns if problem persist use Gpass :stuck_out_tongue:

nope, using the openDNS on my comp did not help.

BTW I’m behind a router in my college, a part of local network here, the internet is quite fast and everything else seems to be working great.

well in that case opendns wont help. Your main gateway needs to be switched to opendns DNS addresses and not your pc.

^^Nope. Has nothing to do with the gateway. DNS resolution is done at level 7 (application layer) while the gateway functions at layer 3. Basically the browser asks for a domain name to address conversion, and the OS forwards that to whatever dns server has been set up for it. If he has managed to change the settings on his local machine so that the dns server is no longer his gateway but is instead the opendns servers, that is more than enough. What is possible is that the routers are unable to find a route to the IP in question. That could happen.

yeah well, I can ping to techenclave allright… and entering the IP manually in address bar also does not give me the page…

Yeah, so it is rather obvious then - your college is running a proxy that seems to be blocking TE (at least at some times).

I’m sure it is not intentional, because they have not blocked any damn content on internet, blocking TE makes no sense…

use gpass it will help
