i am interested in dish tv…becoz it offers more channel and cheaper compare to tata sky…plus alot of business channels like cnbc missing on tata sky list
Lol… DishTV service is crap… Sole reasone why i have gone for TATA Sky… And also TATA Sky will be offering all the channels within a period of 2 months max… Infact The website dont show all the available channels as of now as they are adding channels every other day now…

hmm… i think you should also chk out iptv which will be offered by mtnl from jan 2007… i shall def wait for iptv then decide on switching to either tata sky or iptv. 
the only backdrop for mtnl is…it belongs to govt…and i have 100% doubt abt contents it will provide…
a year bak i was surfing tv and i bimistakely went on dd1 and there was dharmendra on it…and suddenly “kutta” word was muted…lol..i was rolling all over grd wht level govt has reached…

I dont need some old lady telling me what I should and should not watch. If she feels that the content on the channels are like p0rn than she should get CAS and not have these channels on her TV. Man I am sooooo pi$$ed about this whole affair.
GUYS - what is a good cheap Desktop DVD player ??
TataSky is far better than Dish TV when it comes to picture quality and sound. It offers DVD quality and sound whereas with Dish TV it’s not that good. Dish TV is offering more channels than TataSky but TS will be at par with them in short span of time. TS also has an option for multi-room tv where you have to pay an additional 100 bucks without installing an extra dish whereas with Dish TV you don’t have that option. TS also has faster channel switch where as in Dish TV it takes 3 seconds when you change a channel.

Yes Tatasky quality is good. recently they had given a demo in our building society. interactive TV too.
thks for the reply guys…now ill soon update to it…once i get business channels added to it…btw i want to know suppose i want a particular channel which is being offered in india(or say in some part of mumbai)…and tata sky or dish tv whtever is not offering …can we demand that channel frm them???
also damn idont have dvd player…i watch dvds on desktop…and now cursing myself for upgrading lcd screen…
Quick update :::cable working here…not checked all channels…buy sony package and all are working others still down(zee,star down)…and no english movie channels working
checked just now on my pc tv tuner. all channels being received…
