Which 26" LCD TV from Chennai gray market?

Hi guys, I need your help.

I am planning on getting a 26" LCD TV for my folks from Chennai. As I am a poor soul, I cannot afford the TV with bill/warranty:(. So I will be getting it from the gray market. I have the following models in my mind.

  1. Samsung Bordeaux 26" S-PVA panel - Rs 35000/- (on website)

    SAMSUNG’s Digital World - LCD TV | LA26R71B

  2. Sony Bravia 26" V300 - Rs 39990/- (on website)

    Sony India : KLV-26V300A (KLV26V300A) : Details

  3. LG 26" 26LC7 - Rs 34000/- (on website)

Life’s Good

These are the models which are available in 26". Panasonic/Hitachi also have one, but I am not interested in it somehow. Since I am on a shoestring budget, I cannot look for anything else other than a 26" . Wish i could buy a 32" though :frowning:

So please chip in with your suggestions. And, if someone can post suggestive prices and/or shops, from where these can be purchased, then it would be really great :slight_smile:

Take a look at the Videocon 27" also before you buy.

Hmm, thanks for replying. I checked the website. But the prices are not mentioned there. Will look into them as well, when I go for a demo.

Whats ur budget??Sony 32" was available at around 35k in bangalore’s grey market…

yup whts ur budget . the SAMSUNG R7 32in was 32 k 3 - 4 months back. might just fall in your budget

one entire weekend and 3 replies?? thats sad :frowning: Anyways, thanks to all who replied and my budget, stretching it to the maximum will be 30 k’s. Not a penny more than that. That means i will be going without food/water/bare necessities for a month. Since these TV’s are available for ~ 35k’s roughly with bill and stuff, i guess they might be within 30 k’s in the gray market. So, any suggestions now?

Just got a quote of 28 k’s for the Bravia, and 25 k’s for the Samsung, thanks to Superczar for the hook-up :slight_smile: Will demo the panel’s soon and get back to ya’ll.
