Which Laptop to Buy from US?

Hi Guys

As the Title says I need 2 laptop’s one for me and one for my sis so some relatyives are coming in next month so i was thinking of getting them through them

I need one for me “I am thinking AlienWare” or please suggest something really good wanna invest like 70K on it

Then comes one for my sis really donno much about what to choose but it’ll be basically used for chatting and all so nothing great required there other than looks of course.

Please guys let me know soon!!

if u gonna get a laptop it has to be dell… keep in mind that Dell is second to Gateway when in comes to computers in the US… third is Hp and the rest follow… so go for a Dell XPS series.. cant give u exact model but u can go to dell.com and check it out… you can make your own config thats gonna suit u… Dell is also gonna be considerably cheaper since they deal only in direct sales… i got a dell from my uncle but its a Inspiron series… came up to around US$850… that would be good for your sis

i don’t know about alienware.. they will surely cost more than 70000… and what if something happens…u won;t get support for it here… they are great laptops though…

i would go for one whose warranty can be transfered to india .. that would be my first priority

BTW i have come up with an Dell XPS series config for my self it comes to - 2300$ i know its out of my budget but really tempted towards it.

My vote goes to HP, it will workout cheaper and better than dell if u get it from store directly

If you really want to go for AlienWare, I think you should.

Other than that Dell XPS is good and that you are eyeing on. Im not sure what needs you have. If its for non multimedia kind of thing, you can also consider Thinkpads.

I wouldnt recommend HP. IMO they are not worth keeping for more than a year. I know of 5+ friends (+myself) who had HPs and none of us had good time with it. But their support is very good. If you are out of warranty, they will send you detailed instructions on how to open up and fix things :). HP (I think the others too have it) have lifetime email support for all their products.

see HP n dell both are good, i am having a hp for the past 3 years and the only thing that is gone bad was the charger that to i know why . hehe

Deals2buy: Everyday hot deals and coupons check them they have pretty nice deals on dell laptop with 300 - 400 $ free discount coupons. even for HP u can find some of these. u will also want to look at the HP series very decent. HP is international warranty , mine was a piece got from dubai , warranty could be claimed even in india i confirmed this by calling them up after i had the lappy .
what all are ur needs u want a 12 or 13 ’ only ? or would u want larger screens. GAMING is a must ? i mean i feel u should spend 45 - 25 on the lappy and get it . 45 for u n 25 for ur sis lappy making it 70 k or may be 50 - 25 . so that u can have a nice deal. 1200 $ is a nice budget u get a very good laptop .
