will a VX 450 fit in a normal ATX case

Hello,

I have a normal ATX size case.

My engineer who has assembled a corsair vx 450 into a CM 690 case (for my friend) told me that it will not fit into my case.

When I aske in prime ABGB they told me that it will not fit into my case

I am rather confused as the dimensions of VX450 indicate that it should fit.

Is there anything special abt vx450 which will not fit into my case

any different screw arrangements?

any different edges?

are the cables too long?

hmmm a normal ATX case it should most probably fit . what NORMAL ATX case are u referring to anyways ?

Hi,

My case is slightly bigger than a navtech ATX size cabinet.
Local cabinet which was bought from lamington road.

My PSU is close to being dead and need to buy quickly

Thanks.

I have fixed Corsair TX 650 into my Zebronics ATX cabinet without any issues. so u shouldn’t have any problems, screw alingment for my corsair PSU is same as other PSU’s

^^ same for me i also fitted tx650 in antibiotic so 450 must not b an issue

It does fit well in normal cabinet.
I bought VX450w and installed it in my 5+ years old SAVVY cabinet.
only problem is cables are too long for normal cabinet. So make sure none of them can come in contact with CPU and Chassis fans’ blades.
O/w looks superb with black sleevs…go for it.

It will fit surely even I am using a vx450 in a zebronics bijli

Thanks a lot to all for giving this very valuable feedback.
I will repost after I finish the build.

Rgds.

Yeah dont worry about it ! I have fitted it in my 700 bucks cabby and it fits fine. No issues whatsoever.

@pcgamer - dude ! Seriously, a TX650 in a Zebronics case ???

Ive got a VX450 in a Zebby Antibiotic case, fits like a glove.

Well i measured VX450 dimensions…

Exactly same as a 500 buck PSU…
PS : why do people call the chaps who assemble PC, engineers…

They should be called assemblers

The dimensions of VX450 are same as any other locally available SMPS. It will have no problem running in any cabinet et all.

And ya the black sleeving looks awesome…:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Even i think about it but since I keep my side panel open and have a small high-speed fan blowing air into the cabinet, and with some cable management, i don’t find any issues and a reason to change it for now…trust me, i keep temps pretty down with this setup

CPU at 32-33C and 8800 GTS at 42-46C
