Hi,

Finaly got a net connection. Opted for Reliance Wimax 400Kbps unlimited plan.

Have been using bit comet to download from torrents. Geting speeds of aroung 30-40KBps.

Is there anyway we can tweak some settings in Bit Comet for better or higher speed. I’m using windows vista. the connection is direct ie. antenna to pc, no router used.

are u using private tracker or public?

^^ Downloaded some torrent files from Pirate’s bay. No account created on that site so i guess its public trackers.

and also the upload speed never crosses 25kBps speed…

any ides whats wrong…

First try a torrent with a large amount of seeders like ubuntu etc , if you still get low speed see if download speed is 0 and the port eing used is open and encryption is off . Also what bandwidth are you getting , check at speedtest.net , like if you are getting only 300 kbps your speed will be ~ 37 kBps

getiing 50 kBps down with 10 kBps up on same plan.

^^ the weird thing is that on the same connection with around 35 people seeding I have got speed starting from 150-210 kBps and that has always stayed for a couple of hours in the morning and that’s like consistent everyday and that seem strange to me.. would take a screen shot the next time… And also the upload speed is sad ie 20-30kBps..

Any ideas …
