windows xp x64 problem

I get the following error after installing the NVIDIA nForce 6.25 BETA driver.
I am using ASUS K8N. I have no idea how to fix this.

windows - system error
a machine check error has occured. please check the system eventlog for additional information

what should i do?

lol check the event log for any clues…:wink:

Machine Check Event reported is a corrected error.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp .

thats what it says. Have u got any clues??

the easiest thing to do is unistall the nforce drivers completely & let windows install stock ide drivers. see if that helps.

yes i traced it down to my agp driver. I guess i will revert back to 32bit :frowning:

It was so smooth :frowning:

Off topic:

Wanted to know if normal 32 bit programs like winamp, bitcomet etc will run in win xp 64, bcoz i heard that there is some 32 bit WOW system.

yes all 32 bit software will work exvept drivers and system related software such as antivirus, firewall. 16 bit software wont work

@archish

do u notice any boost / increased performance generally ?

windows usage felt smooth, i cannot say exactly in words, app loading was bit faster, video encoding was faster
