I get the following error after installing the NVIDIA nForce 6.25 BETA driver.
I am using ASUS K8N. I have no idea how to fix this.

a machine check error has occured. please check the system eventlog for additional information

archish, this problem has been plaguing many people, there is no one solution but many hit & misses, check this thread out.

the easiest thing to do is unistall the nforce drivers completely & let windows install stock ide drivers. see if that helps.

yes i traced it down to my agp driver. I guess i will revert back to 32bit

Off topic:
Wanted to know if normal 32 bit programs like winamp, bitcomet etc will run in win xp 64, bcoz i heard that there is some 32 bit WOW system.

yes all 32 bit software will work exvept drivers and system related software such as antivirus, firewall. 16 bit software wont work

windows usage felt smooth, i cannot say exactly in words, app loading was bit faster, video encoding was faster
