Just saw the news. The 2 terrorists captured for the delhi blasts confessed that there plan was to blow up Nehru place in New Delhi with atleast 20 bombs in coming weeks had they not been caught.

This is shocking to say the least. As many of you would know Nehru place is a major hub for computer hardware in New Delhi. I often visit the place. I am sure many people on TE even work there or visit it from time to time. There plan was to blow-up the buildings. This is scary.

India has to take some major stand against terrorism now even if that means going to war against Pakistan. A few arrests here and there will not help the cause. We will have to go to the root of the problem if we have any intention to end terrorism.

We should learn from USA. It took a world trade center for them to take terrorism seriously. They have been incredibly successful in doing so as well. There hasn’t been any major incident in US since 9/11. If US can do it, so can we. Its High time India gets serious.

..but the US does not compare geographically or demographically to us in any way.

What do you make of the comparatively quick apprehension of those behind Ahmedabad & Delhi ?

I feel since 9/11 , the level of corruption in US has gone down. Every citizen puts the interest of his country first and that makes the job of terrorists that much tougher. Its difficult in India though mainly due to Religious conflicts. But still if every citizen of India puts the interest of his country first then it won’t be that easy to target India.

Religious conflicts, social conflicts..etc. are all started by politicians and their henchmen. i.e. gangsters, and fake “gurus”, Pandits, swamis, mullahs..etc. They are all get money for what they say and do.

They know how peoples emotions can be enticed, can be enraged and they don’t care.

look at the Ram Mandir issue, and the Ram Sethu, try telling those so called GOD loving religious nutjobs who don’t even know what their own scriptures are saying, try telling them not to kill in the name of religion.

90% of hindus, muslims, christians, sikhs, etc. don’t even understand, can’t read their own scriptures. How can you ask them to be good citizens? They are all Sheep. They are all followers and need a individual to lead them. Some people are too consumed in their own lives, so they have no time for anybody else.

I was on the phone to my uncle in Delhi when I got cut off. Then BBC Newflash (I have the news ticker installed on my lappy), Delhi gets rocked by bomb blasts.

As soon as the bomb blasts happened, all communications to Delhi and Panjab were severed, so that nobody can communicate with each other. Which means no cell phones, landline phones will work (including internet, i.e. telephone line..modem.). Which is understandable.

OK, so I am watching the over inflated rubbish news reporting of NDTV and Star News, they claim…now guess what…

I say we think about the country as the first priority. Civic duty and responsibility is what people needs to be good at. Remember some women got their throat cut off by a deranged person in gateway of India some years ago?? How many people did actually help them-one? People were just looking as if some movie was going on.
